NAMING, BRAND STORY

Ember Connect was founded in 2022 as a nation-wide collective for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. It’s a community and online space to connect, elevate and ignite opportunities. Following the brand strategy process, I worked in consultation with the founders, board, and focus groups to co-create a name and story for the brand that would resonate powerfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, built upon the agreed brand territory of ‘regeneration’.

‘Ember’ was chosen for representing the strength and warmth of women, as well as the regenerative properties of fire, and its symbolism as a meeting place to inspire storytelling and connection.
